Year 7 and 8 Newsletter – Term 1, 2016

Hayley Dustin 2010Term 1 is drawing to a close and it seems like only yesterday that we were welcoming girls into the department and school. The Year 8s (Mabels) proved invaluable as support buddies to the new girls (Annies) and are to be congratulated on their efforts to share the department and school’s many systems, expectations and routines. Strong friendships have blossomed and the vast majority of girls have settled well into their new school.

This term has been filled with a myriad of exciting activities including our Year 7 and 8 Education Outside The Classroom (EOTC) Day, swimming sports, Athletics and Open Day. It has been wonderful to see our girls fully embrace the opportunity to contribute as members of the Woodford family.

This newsletter is student driven and all girls are encouraged to submit at least one piece of writing over the course of the year.
On behalf of the girls’ teachers I would like to wish them a well deserved holiday break. I look forward to welcoming the girls back for a busy and exciting Term 2.
