Woodford House is a Home to a Love of Learning. We are dedicated to providing an environment where innovation, creativity and collaboration thrive; an environment of exceptional education and endless opportunities that will allow each of our girls to lead the way confidently into their future. This year, a record 21 Year 13 students have been collectively awarded $239,000 in university scholarships for academic excellence, outstanding leadership, as well as other areas of achievement.
The respective university selection panels that award students with scholarships consider a number of factors in their decision making process, including academic ability, demonstrated leadership potential, sporting and/or cultural involvement, and contribution to the community. Each of these factors align closely to the four cornerstones of Woodford House – academia, sport, culture and spirituality – that represent our students’ overall experience of school life. The significant number of scholarships awarded this year is testament to the personal excellence our students uphold across all their pursuits.
University scholarships not only recognise academic excellence and potential, they also help to provide talented students with the opportunity and motivation to further develop their knowledge and skills. Receiving a scholarship award allows students to take up new challenges and life-changing experiences as they chart their future career paths. Based on the following scholarships received to date, it is certainly evident that our Woodford House students are being recognised as the leaders of tomorrow and will have a significant role to play in shaping our future world.
