The Woodford House athletics team returned from the New Zealand Secondary School Athletics Championships in Timaru during the weekend with a gold and bronze medal.
- Year 12 student Eva Goodisson won the national 2000m steeplechase title, blitzing the field in a time of 7:04.29, which was 16 seconds in front of second place.
- Year 11 student Ruby Hansen took home bronze in the 300m Hurdles with a time of 45.07.
- Teegan Geary, Year 10, finished a creditable ninth in the Javelin and reached the quarter finals of the 200m while Ginny Gibbs, Year 11, reached the semi finals of the 800m.
- Year 10 student Rylie Bensemann experienced her first national competition and finished a creditable 30th in the long jump.
