In addition to providing support for our school families, the Parents’ Association fundraises to support the funding of projects which benefit all girls.
Your support for fundraising initiatives and activities is vital and appreciated. One simple way to assist is through the annual Parents’ Association subscription. You will have seen this as a $35 fee on your February invoice and we ask all families to kindly support this initiative. The $12 term raffle is also an optional fundraising activity where each term, one lucky participating student has their fees of $1691.31 refunded. So far this year, these two initiatives have funded the Artist in Residence programme and prizes for swimming sports. The Association is also excited about funding a major project this year and further details will be revealed in the coming months.
What are we fundraising for?
The major fundraising drive this year is to build an adventure playground. The intention is to locate it near the Intermediate department for use by our younger students during the school day, but it will also be a major asset for our boarders. We are working closely with the teaching staff and Board of Trustees to ensure it is multi-purpose and fits with the needs of the curriculum as well. A new springless trampoline is the first addition, which has already been delivered to the school.
We are also working with the Woodford Old Girls’ Association to fund the Artist in Residence programme annually.
Winter Solstice Dinner
We are looking at mid-June for our winter solstice dinner and auction. Details will be sent to parents soon, but if you have items or maybe a beach bach or holiday home that could be an auction item, we would love to hear from you.
Our next meeting is 6.00pm Tuesday 29 March.
Our AGM is on Sunday 1 May.
You do not need to be a committee member or even have a commitment to attend or be involved. Our volunteer database is a great way to be involved in a small way, whenever you are able to.
