Woodford House offers a range of musical opportunities from learning an instrument to being part of a choir or musical group. Girls also regularly take part in competitions and attend regional and nationally acclaimed live performances.
A Capella Group
Singing with no instrumental accompaniment, this is sometimes called Barbershop or Sweet Adeline singing.
Chamber Music
Instrumental music played by a small ensemble, with one player to a part. This includes our string quartet.
Chapel Choir
Our chapel choir plays an important role in the special character of the School. The group takes part in many of our ceremonies and festivals.
Flute Choir
A wonderful opportunity for our girls to play as a group.
Junior Choir
This choir is open to our junior girls and is a great way to begin performing as a group. Our girls perform at School events as well as doing some community outreach performances.
Private Music Lessons
We can help you arrange music lessons for your daughter at School including piano, violin, cello, flute, brass, percussion, guitar and voice.
Rock Band
We have a number of bands including jazz band and rock band. These appeal to many of our girls who enjoy playing group music.
We have many more opportunities than we would at home because it's all here at school.
