Woodford house

Each year Woodford House welcomes international students into our global village. Students join us from Germany, French Polynesia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, and Thailand, and contribute to our success story every year.

During term time, students live with their peers in the Boarding Houses at school. The School is typically closed during the school holidays and exeat weekends. During this time, our International Students stay with host families to experience life as a Kiwi.

While this is an invaluable opportunity for the student, it is also rewarding for the host family.

Gain a daughter
Welcoming an international student to your family is rewarding in so many ways. You can share your
family’s Kiwi way of life with a student from another culture, connect to your community in exciting new
ways, and bring the world into your home.

It’s the little things
For our international students, it’s the little things that make their year: eating real fruit ice cream, taking
part in House Music, activities in the great outdoors, dancing the night away at a school ball. Hosting an
international student doesn’t take any special means — just a warm, welcoming spirit and the love you’d
give to your own family.

Lead the way
The Woodford House girl is a global citizen who seizes opportunities and is actively involved in all life
has to offer her. She is a leader with confidence, empathy and positive role modelling. Hosting an
international student is a fabulous opportunity to live these values.
