Parents’ Association

Who We Are

The Woodford House Parents’ Association (WHPA) provides a valuable link between the boards, staff, Principal and parents. For families new to Woodford House, WHPA assist with the transition and unravelling the workings of a new school from a parent’s perspective.

All parents/caregivers are welcome to WHPA meetings which are attended by the Principal and are most informative regarding current happenings in the School. You do not need to be a committee member to attend or contribute. An AGM is held in Term 2 each year.

Fundraising Initiatives

WHPA fundraises and supports funding of projects which benefit all girls. In 2015, $70,000 was donated towards the Dame Kate Harcourt Performing Arts Centre. This was funded by the proceeds of WHPA’s cookbook, “Hawke’s Bay on a Platter”. Additional funds were donated for new outdoor furniture and a 3D printer. The major fundraiser for 2016 was the biennial Winter Solstice Dinner which has become a highlight of the Woodford House Social Calendar.

WHPA also hosts fun social activities such as the year level drinks at the beginning of Term 1 and a gourmet BBQ at swimming and athletic sports.
