Assistant Boarding Manager

Woodford House is a leading boarding and day school for Year 7-13 girls.  Situated in beautiful Hawke’s Bay, Woodford House is a special character school offering unique opportunities.

Woodford House is seeking a committed staff member with management experience and a pastoral care background.

Key Tasks

The successful applicant will:

  • Possess a high standard of communication and relational skills.
  • Be a proficient administrator with IT capability.
  • Be supportive of the School’s special character.
  • Ideally have some teaching/tutoring experience

The position involves:

  • The management of a team of House Supervisors.
  • Overseeing of pastoral care and the well-being of the young women in boarding.
  • Taking responsibility for the efficient running of the boarding houses while on duty.
  • Liaising with parents and our extended community.
  • Organising and facilitating the weekend programme for students.
  • Reporting to the Director of Boarding.

Start date is the beginning of Term 1, 2019. The hours of work will be rostered between two Managers and be shared over a fortnightly basis, including weekends. Specific rostered hours can be found in the position description.

ESOL Teacher

Woodford House, an integrated school for Year 7-13 boarding and day girls, situated in Havelock North, is seeking an experienced ESOL teacher for 2019. This is a fixed-term, part-time position commencing Term 1, 2019.  Hours to be negotiated.

Teacher Aide
