Communications and Marketing Coordinator

Woodford House, a leading boarding school for Year 7 – 13 girls, situated in Hawke’s Bay, is seeking an experienced Communications and Marketing professional with strong skills in graphic design.

The position involves:

  • Design, produce and deliver school collateral, including print and online
  • Raising the profile of Woodford House through innovative marketing initiatives
  • Implementing the Communications and Marketing strategy (external and internal communications)
  • Project manage an acquisition/enrolment programme
  • Photography of school events, activities and achievements for various print and online publications
  • Provide support for promotional and fundraising events
  • Reporting to the Communications and Development Manager.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Community Engagement Officer

Woodford House, a leading boarding school for Year 7 – 13 girls, situated in Hawke’s Bay, is seeking an experienced Community Engagement Officer for a 1 year fixed term position. This position is for 30 hours per week.

The position involves:

  • Building strong relationships between the School, Old Girls, past and present parents, and the greater Woodford House community
  • To foster, increase and maintain parent engagement with Woodford House
  • To support Woodford House in its drive to achieve growth in the existing Foundation endowment funds
  • To oversee fundraising activities for the School. This includes large events but also minor fundraising for school or team trips, activities or minor appeals.
  • Seek corporate sponsorship for school teams or trips
  • To ensure relevant and timely communication with all stakeholders
  • Implementing and managing a new database (research, migration, staff training and maintenance)
  • Reporting to the Communications and Development Manager.

Administration Office Coordinator

Woodford House is an integrated school for Year 7 – 13 boarding and day girls, situated in Havelock North. We are seeking a motivated, highly organised “people person” to join our professional and supportive learning environment in the position of Administration Office Coordinator.

The Administration Office Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the seamless communication between students, school and home. The role will assist the Business and Operations Manager to efficiently run the administration of the School.

The position is for 37.5 hours per week during the school term plus some weeks in the school holidays, totalling 45 weeks per annum, starting in July.

Key Tasks:

  • Reception, including frequent interaction with students and visitors
  • General administrative tasks, including telephone answering
  • First Aid and Health Centre Support
  • Absences, leave requests and data input to KAMAR (Student Management System)
  • Word Processing
  • Communications
  • Emergency coordination
  • Uniform shop oversight
  • HR support
  • Support of international students
