The Young Achievers Awards project was designed to highlight and recognise positive, motivated and high-achieving youth role models.

Woodford House Arts Prefect, Tracy Zeng, was recognised for her dedication, talent and passion for the Arts. She is well-known for her involvement and leadership in a wide array of co-curricular art, music and service activities.

Deputy Principal, Stephanie Russell says Tracy is an intelligent, diligent and thoughtful student who has flourished as an International student in her time at school.

“Her initiative and work with and care of fellow International and Boarding students has seen her recognised,” Mrs Russell says.

Woodford House Service Prefect, Jessica MacFarquhar, was recognised as a mature and accomplished student who excels across all four school cornerstones: Academic, Spiritual, Cultural and Sport.

Jessica serves on the Regional Sports Council and plays high-level Football, Touch, Volleyball and Basketball.

Mrs Russell says Jessica is a reliable volunteer for school, chapel and community events through her service to Student Council, Chapel and Service teams. Jessica travelled to Cambodia and Thailand with the 2018 school World Challenge trip, to the Red Cross National Youth Forum and was sponsored to attend the National Science and Technology Forum.

“Jessica exemplifies the idea of servant leadership. She is purpose and people driven and works thoughtfully and creatively to help others.”

As part of the awards ceremony, Woodford House received a striking photographic image of Jessica and Tracy which will be displayed in the Dining Hall alongside to previous recipients. The Award
