Woodford Sport in the Community

The Woodford ‘jumper’ has been out in force so far in Term 3 with plenty more to come. We have been hosting and supporting community events.



  • Woodford hosted Iona, Samuel Marsden, St Matthew’s and Nga Tawa for Junior Pentangular with Woodford and Iona sharing the title this year
  • The equestrian team used the Havelock North High event to prepare for the annual Woodford event held on Monday, 24 August
  • Woodford hosted eight schools and 32 teams for Town and Country Schools Football with our team winning the Girls A Grade. The team also set up the day and Year 10 students refereed.
  • The Year 7/8 Canoe Polo team finished a commendable 7th in their first year at the HB Schools Canoe Polo Champs
  • The Year 7/8 Premier netball team won the mixed grade at the HB Intermediate Netball Champs and won the mixed grade in the Hastings weekly competition
  • Woodford finished 2nd behind St Matthew’s at Senior Quadrangular with the Netball team winning the netball competition
  • Junior Premier netball team won the Year 9/10 Mixed grade at College Day Netball.




Jessie McNeil

Jessie recently won the New Zealand show jumping thoroughbred series and came 2nd in the New Zealand show hunter thoroughbred series.
