A giant scrabble set with 200 pieces was created in four and a half hours by Year 9 students during a session on activities outside the class room.
Students worked together to sand blocks of wood, apply base coats and outline lettering based on their initials, for a standard scrabble set. They completed the lettering on the squares in Woodford maroon paint and finished by varnishing the pieces for use outdoors.
The scrabble game will be available to any year level during lunchtimes in the Hodge courtyard.
The Year 9s thought it was a good idea because they always enjoyed having new games to play, and they thought it would appeal to the intermediate students.
