Hawke’s Bay Swimming Championships

By | March 21, 2016

Our intermediate swimmers outshone themselves at the Hawke’s Bay Intermediate Swim Championships last week, despite being four swimmers short.

It is so heartening to see such courage and determination to do well in our youngest members of the school family, and to also observe their wonderful support for each other.

Seven of the girls in our nine-girl squad received placings in at least one event, while the Year 8 swimmers were placed 3rd overall.

Congratulations to the team and thank you to their parents for your support.

Hawke’s Bay Secondary School Swimming Championships

A small Woodford House team competed in the Hawke’s Bay Secondary School Swimming Championships this year. The competition was of a very high standard. The determination and no-nonsense approach of our swimmers was admirable and most did well in their events.

The quote of the evening was,  “I don’t want to be a quitter”.
