The Woodford House building projects are well underway with the demolition of Haddington and the rebuild of the Woodford Block at the front of the school. These projects, which will continue throughout the year, will see changes in the layout of the campus to ensure the safety of students, parents, staff and visitors remains a priority.
During this time pathways and roads will become shared access ways and vehicle activity will increase. We strongly encourage you to be extremely cautious when driving or walking through the school. Pedestrian-safe zones will be clearly marked and signage for speed limits and traffic flow will be introduced. Important changes regarding traffic on campus include:
No vehicle access at the front of the Woodford Block
The front of Woodford will be closed to all vehicles except buses and trades vehicles. This includes parking, pick-up/drop-off and driving around the loop to exit the school back out onto Iona Road.
A designated pick-up/drop-off zone will be available at the side of the Woodford Hall. Once you have finished please drive slowly and with extreme caution through the campus to exit onto Kopanga Road.
Driving through the school
The direction of traffic through the campus is one way (entry through Iona Road and exit onto Kopanga Road). This will be clearly sign posted. The speed limit while on campus is 10km.
Changes to parking
- Boarder and Day student car parking will be in the gymnasium car park.
- Administration and Ancillary staff will park in the former boarders’ carpark.
- Visitor parking, including a disabled carpark, will be along the left hand side of the driveway.
An updated map of the campus is below. You can also download the map here.
