Woodford’s Got Talent

By | October 22, 2015

Song, poetry and a dancing football team. These were just some of the items that entertained a capacity audience at the 2015 Woodford’s Got Talent event in Term 3.

The event was run by the student Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) committee and was an ‘all comers’ event with no audition, and a focus on entertainment.

It was impressive how many Year 7/8 students stepped up to sing and play solos and duos.

Three students and three teachers acted as judges and selected the top three acts. The audience then voted for the final order on their devices, which they brought to the Hall.

The winners were:

• First: XI Football Team (A day in the life of a Football player)
• Second: Hannah Roberts and Amelia Dear: ‘Ballet Buddies’ (Grand Allegro)
• Third: Michaela-Rose Tripp (Poem – There’s a Man in the Woods)

This was an exciting and happy event that proved, once again, ‘Woodford’s Got Talent!
