Sarah Ardin joins the opera

By | October 22, 2015

Year 12 student, Sarah Ardin, has been selected to participate in Project Prima Volta for 2015/16.

Sarah was one of 60 Hawke’s Bay students to audition for this wonderful opportunity. Sarah is the student leader of Up Close, Woodford’s A Capella choir, and a member of the Chapel Choir.

Project Prima Volta is a programme that introduces students to professional opera and provides training for them to perform in an opera with international soloists.

There are 30 students participating this year and they will be the chorus for the opera La Boheme, directed by Jose Aparicio. La Boheme will be performed in February 2016 at the Napier Municipal Theatre.

Sarah says she is looking forward to being part of an amazing show and working with the other Project Prima Volta members.

“This is an incredible opportunity and I love it so far. The rehearsals are really fun and I’m excited to perform next year,” Sarah says.
