Transitioning into Life Beyond School

HitIt programmes at Woodford are designed to develop specific skills and deliver useful information to assist the Year 13s in managing their responsibilities at school and the successful transition into life beyond school.


Term 2

  • Leadership skills
    • Developing the Fun Friday programme which they run with the rest of the school while the teachers are doing professional learning workshops
    • Thanks for your assistance in getting them to school on time as usual on Fridays. They need to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ready for fun by 8.20am!
  • Stress buster workshops
  • Digital citizenship workshops which they will share with their homerooms
  • Preparation for University applications and scholarships.

Term 3

Workshops on how to survive at university:

  • Health
  • Finances
  • Flatting tips
  • Decision-making

These sessions are aimed to prepare the girls effectively and will probably initiate conversations at home. If you have any questions please contact the Director of Learning or myself.
